Terms Of Service

These terms are the rules for using Tapeical (tapeical.com), where you take quizzes, record yourself answering them, and share the results. By making an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Tapeical.

Who can use Tapeical

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18 (or the age of adulthood where you live), you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we'll delete it.

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us at support@tapeical.com if you think someone else has gotten into it.

Your videos, quizzes and comments

Everything you make on Tapeical, including recordings ("takes"), quizzes, comments and your profile, is still yours. To run the site, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, show, share and adapt it (for example, resizing a video or making a thumbnail). This covers running and improving Tapeical and showing your public content to promote it, such as featuring a public take on the homepage. The license ends when you delete the content or your account. The only exceptions are copies already shared by other people, copies in backups for a short time, and anything we have to keep by law.

Takes are private until you post them. Once you post a take, anyone who can see your profile can watch it, link to it and share it. That's everyone if your profile is public, or only approved followers if it's private. Quizzes you make can be taken by anyone with the link, and listed ones show up on Explore.

Quiz text is read aloud by a computer-generated host voice made by an AI service. Don't put personal information in quiz titles, questions or answers.

Only post things you have the right to share. If someone else appears in your video, make sure they're okay with it.

Rules

Don't use Tapeical to post or do any of the following:

• Nudity, sexual content, or anything that sexualizes minors in any way
• Harassment, bullying, threats, or encouraging anyone to hurt themselves or others
• Hate speech or attacks on people for who they are
• Graphic violence, or content promoting illegal activity
• Someone else's private information, or videos of people who didn't agree to be filmed
• Pretending to be someone else in a misleading way
• Content you don't have the rights to, like copyrighted music or video that isn't yours
• Spam, scams, or fake engagement
• Scraping the site, getting around rate limits or blocks, or interfering with how Tapeical works

You can report anything that breaks these rules. We may remove content, limit what an account can do, or suspend or delete accounts that break them, with or without warning. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and cooperate with law enforcement.

Copyright complaints

If you think something on Tapeical infringes your copyright, email support@tapeical.com with the following:

• the work you own
• a link to the content on Tapeical
• your contact details
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorized to act for them
• your physical or electronic signature

We remove infringing content, and we close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. It deletes your takes and their videos. Comments that have replies stay as "[deleted]" placeholders so conversations still make sense, and quizzes you made stay up without your name on them. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

No guarantees

Tapeical is a fun, free service provided "as is." We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that content will never be lost. Quiz results are for entertainment only. To the fullest extent the law allows, Tapeical isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for content other people post. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we make meaningful changes, we'll ask you to accept the new version the next time you use Tapeical.
